Hair Removal: We assume 8 treatments before annual maintenance, which will be very minor hair growth.

Redness: The average is 3-5.

Pigment: Sometimes in as little as 1 treatment!

Vascular: Often in as little as 1 treatment!

Most people compare the feeling to an elastic band snapping the skin. The system has a built in cooling system, using cryogen gas that makes the treatment safe, comfortable and effective.

We cannot safely laser over tattoos, but we can laser around them!

There are no lasers that can effectively treat red/very blonde or white/grey hair. We need some contrast between skin and hair for the laser to do its work. If you’re unsure, we offer complimentary test patches to assess the efficacy. NOTE: sometimes the hair looks lighter than it is because of the light reflecting off the hair. Any light brown or even dark blonde can be treated. People also misunderstand “light” hair vs “fine” texture, an in person consult can help assess best.

Hair Removal Specific: For 4 weeks: no tweezing, waxing/epilating/ using nair-like products. 

All other treatments:
For 2 weeks: No Citrus essential oils, st. johns wort, avoid sun/use intentionally mineral based sunscreen to avoid a sun tan, no self tanner.  
5 days prior: no retinols/exfoliants.
Day of: no lotion/make up. Clean shave the area.

No downtime, most people are ok to return to work the same day and feel like they have a slight sunburn. Reddening or “edema”, that can present like “hives” or welts around the hair follicle is expected and generally resolves within a few hours post treatment. NO heat, friction, blood flow, exfoliating, hot showers for 24 hours. You should use intentional sunscreen to protect the skin for 2 weeks post. Can wear make up right away.
